Healing

A beam of light in Upper Antelope Canyon
in Arizona. Lucas Löffler wiki cc)

Standing where sunlight
polishes flood etched stone
I hear the echo of the Navajo
singing through the veins
of the Cathedral of Rain.

Slowly the voices search
the rooms of my agony
until they reach the
core of my tears.

Baptized in words my soul translates
I release my pain to the power of healing.

Rooms of agony, reminds me of "the big room," not a pleasant place but much better than the smaller side room full of pain.
I wish there had been a core of light, but rather there was a sight of the woman prisoners now and then when being transferred to "out". That was some release for those hopeless prisoners.

The rooms of agony.. So good when chants can fill those rooms with blessing. A very enjoyable read, very much in tone with the canyon beauty.

This haunts-as it should! So much rain in Father sky~
Bravo, Susie
This is beautiful! Those last two lines really resonated, especially "Baptized in words my soul translates" - if only we all open ourselves to healing words!

Such healing can be found in light and in sound. Thank you so much for joining the challenge, Susie.
