Rest From Stones

Even the geese know home
I am a gypsy seeking a warm heart
to call my own and a place
where the welcome mat speaks truth.

I don’t wish for what lies
over the rainbow…..
only  that my feet will
find rest from walking
this path of stones.

The difficulties of the season are clear here, of wintry landscapes too -- thanks, Susie. K.

This poem really speaks to me, Susie......especially the welcome mat speaking truth.

I think its a condition of our words that they make us feel uprooted and homeless. Always separating us and distancing us from the intimate, making us yearn to go home. Just an opinion, but wordless nature has a much easier time of it than we do. Very nice. - B
