Where No Is Never Hung

Little one you can fly
even though your sky
is shell and sand.

Seagull dreams
give you wings
free of doubter’s hold.

Innocence is
a cloudless sky
where no is never sung.

Remember this day
when you reach
where gravity is hung.

Sticks, stones, and tongues
have no power over wings
taught to fly in shell and sand.

Oh my goodness, this is perfection. I would have to quote the whole thing back, I love it so much. Especially innocence is a cloudless sky where no is never sung.

A nice reading tale of fantasy. I believe it reached its peak withe line, "Remember this day when you reach where gravity is hung. . Astronaut training must be a little like this, learning to do what seems impossible.

I'm in love with this stanza - it stands alone and speaks to your theme so well.

"... where gravity is hung". He is hard to say "no" to (all his older siblings tell me I am incapable of denying him anything) which isn't true - but he is my sweet boy who still hugs me. I tell them there in is the difference. :) Beautiful poem.
